Quick and easy chocolate chip cookies with massive chocolate chunks! Chewy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Plus a few recipe tips :)
Ingredients
1 stick of butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 medium egg
1 tsp vanilla extract/ 2 tsp vanilla sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 bicarbonate of soda
1/2 baking powder
pinch of salt
1 bar of dark chocolate
1 cup chocolate chips
Recipe - makes 10 cookies
Preheat oven to 180°C or 360°F.
Chop the chocolate bar into pieces. Larger or smaller chunks, whichever way you prefer!
Cream together butter, white sugar, brown sugar, egg and vanilla. Mix for 2 minutes on medium-low speed.
Mix together flour, bicarbonate of soda, baking powder and salt in a separate bowl.
Add flour mixture into the butter-sugar dough and mix for 1 minute on medium speed.
Incorporate chocolate chips and chocolate chunks into the dough.
Place cookie dough onto a lined baking tray in balls, with enough space for them to spread - give or take 3 inches.
Put the cookies in the oven and allow them to bake for 15 minutes.
Take the cookies out of the oven once golden brown on the edges and allow them to cool before serving.

If you prefer a thinner and crunchier cookie:
1 1/2 sticks of butter
1/2 cup white sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
If you prefer a lighter and cakier cookie:
3/4 stick of butter
1/4 cup white sugar
1/6 cup brown sugar
